IKIGAI is the Japanese concept that means “a reason for being.” The word “ikigai” is usually used to indicate the source of value in one’s life or the things that make one’s life worthwhile. Discovering your own ikigai is said to bring fulfilment, happiness and make you live longer.

ikigai is seen as the convergence of four primary elements:

What you love (your passion)

What the world needs (your mission)

What you are good at (your vocation)

What you can get paid for (your profession)

If someone wants to get a long and happy life then he/she can unlock their own ikigai by asking these four questions from themselves:

What do they love?

What the world needs from them?

What they are good at?

What they can get paid for?

Philosopher and civil rights leader Howard W Thurman said, “Ask what makes you come alive and go do it.” … “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

When we become happy?

When we get the thing we love. When we make ourselves able to give the thing that world needs from us. When we come to know that we have some unique strengths. When we get a payment from our work or job.

The concept “ikigai”, is actually consider right in only some areas other than it’s main origin. But we can use this in our lives to live a happy life.

Here is the thing for you that you can unlock your ikigai by focusing on these four things; Passion, Mission, Vocation, and Profession.

I hope you will get your ikigai.

Stay blessed and get a happy life.
